My Refuge and Fortress

Hi everyone!

Lighthouses have always been so interesting and intriguing to me! They are each so very individual and have their own unique history, but collectively they have played such an important role for maritime travelers throughout time that they've come to represent a place of safety and refuge, which for Christians is very powerful symbolism indeed.

Our recent Stamp Simply release included two new lighthouse stamp sets.  This is the lighthouse in the Keweenaw Waterway North Entry in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, featured in the new set, He Stilled the Storm.

I had so much fun combining sets from this release for today's project!  The branch in the upper left corner of the card is from another new set, God Will Take Care of You.  The background stamp is a scripture from Psalms in one of our new background minis.

Here's a peek at the inside, which includes another beautiful scripture. There's lots of detail and interest in this card, yet because there are no ribbons or rhinestones, it is still ideally flat-for-mailing.
