Patriotic 2-for-1

Today's Stamp Simply project is a 2-for-1 patriotic card set.  There is no shortage of heroes these days, military and otherwise, and they come in all shapes and sizes, so these will be off in the mail ASAP.

Life is certainly always full of challenges, but 2020 has had more than its share of them, so this sentiment from Romans seemed to fit the occasion!  The card front is a trio of patriotic papers glued atop a panel of card stock, then die cut with the largest of the Spellbinders Stars 5 dies.  The negative space was then filled with a shimmery gold star of the same size, and a slightly smaller star, stamped with the sentiment and popped up on dimensional adhesives.

Here's the positive die cut from the card above, used on the second card front.  There's lots of white space with that pretty gold shimmer card stock peeking from underneath.

It's always nice to have one card give a head start for another!

The insides of each card are very similar, with a border of gold, a sentiment stamped in shimmery gold ink, and a single gold die cut star.

That uncluttered, simple layout leaves lots of room for a signature and some words of encouragement.

Hope!

Today's Stamp Simply project uses another one of the sets from our new Faith, Hope, and Love series.  Love these scriptures sets and the beautiful variety of fonts used in them.

Couldn't resist pairing this lovely angel with some uplifting scripture.  These papers are so gorgeous, and the color palette so calming.

To the New Mr. & Mrs.

Sometimes it almost feels as though a card idea is a "gift" and the design practically puts itself together!  Today's Stamp Simply card was most definitely one of those gifts using a set from our brand new release!  And it was SO much FUN!

Our new release actually includes FOUR new sets... the one I used for today's project is the one on the bottom right,  Wedding and Anniversary Wishes.

The card base is top-folding, 5 1/2 wide x 4.25 tall with the bride and groom assembled on an overlaying 5 1/4 x 4 inch layer.  His tuxedo is simply a few triangles of black and white, with additional layers and a bit of scoring or snipping to create the illusion of a shirt placket and jacket lapels.  I used a star die to die-cut the shirt collar (I think next time I'll tuck the bottom points inside).  Another die created the neckline of her dress.  Embellishments include a ribbon bow tie, and pearls for his buttons and her necklace.

Her bouquet was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on a scrap piece of card stock, colored with Copic markers, then fussy-cut and adhered with glue/dimensional adhesives.   The rich reds and greens give the card a very formal, traditional look.

Inside is just a simple black and white with the greeting that usually makes every new couple smile from ear-to-ear!

Thanks a Bunch!

This beautiful designer paper from Graphic 45 inspired today's Stamp Simply "Thanks a Bunch" card, another relatively flat-for-mailing design.

The focal image from our fruit set was colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white Prisma color pencil.  The plaid mat underneath is actually the reverse side of the floral/fruit paper, so this card used less than one entire sheet of designer paper.

This green is such a cheerful, bright color I decided to use it for the inside too!  It makes the little red strawberry (stamped on white, colored, fussy cut and glued flat) really pop!
