Sometimes it almost feels as though a card idea is a "gift" and the design practically puts itself together! Today's Stamp Simply card was most definitely one of those gifts using a set from our brand new release! And it was SO much FUN!
Our new release actually includes FOUR new sets... the one I used for today's project is the one on the bottom right, Wedding and Anniversary Wishes.
The card base is top-folding, 5 1/2 wide x 4.25 tall with the bride and groom assembled on an overlaying 5 1/4 x 4 inch layer. His tuxedo is simply a few triangles of black and white, with additional layers and a bit of scoring or snipping to create the illusion of a shirt placket and jacket lapels. I used a star die to die-cut the shirt collar (I think next time I'll tuck the bottom points inside). Another die created the neckline of her dress. Embellishments include a ribbon bow tie, and pearls for his buttons and her necklace.
Her bouquet was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on a scrap piece of card stock, colored with Copic markers, then fussy-cut and adhered with glue/dimensional adhesives. The rich reds and greens give the card a very formal, traditional look.
Inside is just a simple black and white with the greeting that usually makes every new couple smile from ear-to-ear!
