Let Freedom Ring!

If you're crafting last-minute in the good ole US of A, there's still time to squeeze in one more patriotic card before the 4th arrives! Today's project is a mash-up of quite a few of the patriotic sets and dies that we have at Stamp Simply.

I had just a few scraps of gold mirror card stock left, so I cut out as many stars as I could fit, some out of necessity hanging off the edge of the paper, but they work to frame the flag and really stand out against the darker red and blue card stock.  I love that little hint of gold text stamped onto the red background, not enough to interfere with the focal point, but just enough to be visible if you look closely.

The inside includes stamped and die-cut stars, and a sentiment that brings the rest of the Pledge of Allegiance to mind.

Although not completely flat, this card is squishy and without jewels, so it would be a great one for mailing!

Welcome Baby! (new stamps and dies)

At Stamp Simply we've just released the most adorable trio of sentiments and dies to welcome baby!  I just love seeing wee babies all dressed up in cute holiday attire!  (My parents brought me home from the hospital on the 4th of July so you can see where I'm coming from!).  That's what inspired today's project, a 5.5 inch square card.

The new release includes Welcome Baby sentiment stamps set, Welcome Baby Basics dies, and our Baptism, Dedication, Confirmation, 1st Communion set.  They are available individually and in duo and trio bundles.

I used quite a few of the dies in Welcome Baby Basics along with several larger star dies from Spellbinders.  The onesie is so cute with little stitching details, and there are small dies that fit inside the bib too!  Little hearts, flowers, or stars and more!

There are a variety of sentiments that can be used individually or in combination with one another.  This one fit perfectly in a Spellbinders star.

I kept this card gender-neutral which works well when the parents-to-be have not yet made their ultrasound results public, but there are a couple of baby boy and baby girl sentiments in the bundle if you'd rather make your card gender-specific.

There are SO many darling embellishments to choose from!  I decided to go a bit retro with the safety pins!  I cut two from scraps of pearlescent paper and two from red paper, trimming and splicing them together.

Beautiful New Stamp Simply Florals!

Hello everyone!  Stamp Simply has had some wonderful new stamps released recently, and today's post is all about our beautiful new florals, Pretty Poppies and Delightful Dahlias!  I've made a fraternal pair of business-envelope sized cards featuring these sets with a single two-sided sheet of designer paper from the Craft Consortium Farm Meadow paper pad.

Poppies always make me think of our veterans, and so I've colored these the traditional red and embellished them with a bold red ribbon.

I pulled colors from the petite print for the colors of the leaves, and the Kraft background paper.

Here's what the inside looks like.  "Just Because" is such a great sentiment!

The dahlias card is made with the flip side scrap of that same sheet of designer paper, but drawing from the softer colors.

That little bit of white around the edge of the die-cut floral helps it to stand out against the Kraft background.  The sentiment is stamped directly on the card with fewer layers, framed by a few leaves.

Inside is ultra clean and simple.  That expanse of empty white lends to that feeling of "emptiness without you" that goes along with this sentiment.

Flag JOY Fold Card

Hello friends!  Here in the United States we just celebrated Memorial Day, so I'm bringing another patriotic card your way. This one is made following Beate's JOY fold card tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers.

Here is a close-up of Stamp Simply's new flag stamp.  (I love our other flag stamp too, but this one is a more traditional, classic design).

Here's what the card looks like opened.

The dimensions of this JOY fold design are just perfect for displaying this text cloud stamp from our new stamp set!

And here's a look at the other side, with the stars and dies from our Patriotic Trio bundle.
