He Lives!

Welcome back, and welcome Spring!  I am sure you've noticed that I have been enjoying the new Stamp Simply He Lives stamp set SO much!  I've used it several times in the last month, and I'm amazed at how versatile it is...these lovely daffodils look as great on a very clean and simple background as they do on a fancier, busier designer paper.  In this case I wanted to allow the flowers and sentiment to speak for themselves for a CAS Easter card.

The flowers are stamped, colored with Copics and die-cut, then popped up on a background of soft blue from Craft Consortium's Bloom and Wild pad upon which the sentiment was stamped directly.

That yellow dotted Swiss ribbon makes me smile...when I was young I had a pinafore style dress made out of this same fabric! Do you remember getting all dressed up in fancy clothes, hat and white gloves for Easter Sunday?!

It's nearly impossible to catch the sparkle that clear Wink of Stella lends to a card, but I tried!

Once again, the inside is also very clean and simple, using a scrap of the same designer paper.

Jesus Loves You

Happy day-after-St. Patrick's Day!  I'm here with another Stamp Simply Easter card, this one combining our Stick People QUAD bundle with a new bundle, Easter Is For Jesus.

I traced around an oval die for the basic shape of this fussy-cut conversation bubble, adding color to the edges with a Copic marker.  (Stamp Simply has several dies for conversation bubbles, so I need to order some and then I won't need to fussy-cut one!)

Most other major elements of this card were die-cut, but I did do a bit of fussy cutting with this cute little guy and his Easter basket (cut from the designer paper), mainly because I wanted the colors to be clear, clean and bright.  He wore green for St. Patrick's Day, and he's ready to celebrate that his grandparents got their COVID vaccines so now he can visit with them and give them BIG hugs!

The inside includes one of the cute printed paper squares from the Easter pad, and a sentiment constructed with a phrase and the number 2 from the Stick People sets.

Clean and Simple Hello!

I have really been enjoying finding different combinations of florals and sentiments to use with our Spring/Summer Seasonal Wreaths set!  Today I've used the daffodils from He Lives, and it is so fresh and Springy!

The flowers and wreath were stamped with Memento ink and colored with Copic markers, then given a bit of sparkle with clear Wink of Stella which doesn't show up at all in the photo.  I used pale 000 and 0000 BG and BV markers along with a few tonal greys to shade the petals of the paper-whites.

Same simple, happy colors on the inside with a sentiment from the wreaths set.

God is smiling down upon you!

Hello friends!

I know there's still plenty of cold, ice and snow in lots of the country, but here in Florida the azaleas are blooming and Spring is making its appearance.  One of my favorites among those Spring blossoms is the daffodil, aka narcissus, and I absolutely adore that Stamp Simply now has a beautiful Easter stamp set which includes them!

Yellow is always like a dose of sunshine and happiness, isn't it?!  I just love the idea of God smiling down upon us!

Y'all might remember that I've used this same gorgeous paper before!  For this card I had just enough left to cover the card front but wanted to use some for the inside too, so I cut an oval from it before adding my focal image layers.

It makes a beautiful back-drop for the cross from our new Easter is for Jesus set.  You can see here that this simple cross from a rather "kiddie" set can look quite elegant when paired with lovely paper and sentiments with fancy fonts!
