Stamp Simply's New Easter Release!

Hi everyone!  I'm so excited to share our new Stamp Simply Easter release with you today!

We've got a gorgeous bunch of new images, dies and great sentiments that coordinate together, and there are lots of options for how to use them and how to purchase them (individually or bundled) too!

For today's project I combined an image from one of our seasonal wreath sets with its new coordinating die, and our new Easter is for Jesus Bundle (shown in the top right corner of the image above), using a sketch that I found on Pinterest.  I have an egg-shaped hand-formed grapevine wreath that I made from some vines last year that still needs to be decorated, and that thought is what inspired today's card.

This new set includes not only the cute eggs, rabbit, and sentiment shown here, but also a simple, rustic wooden cross and several sentiments that are perfect for cards for kids and adults alike.

Here's a peek at the inside.  This would be so cute tucked inside an Easter basket alongside some chocolate eggs and colorful jelly beans!

Here's a close-up.  Isn't this bunny absolutely darling?!  So sweet!

Always & Forever

Hi everybody!  This week is a busy week, with Valentine's Day, President's Day, Mardi Gras, Ash Wednesday and my son's birthday!  In the midst of all that we are remodeling our master bathroom, so it has been kinda hectic around here!

I hope you have been able to stay warm and cozy...I've been keeping an eye on my family and friends in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.  It has been so much colder there than usual, and with all the power grid issues and lack of water, I've been so concerned. I sincerely hope that things are getting better.  My friends in Cajun Country have been making the most of that ice and snow!  I've seen videos of kids being dragged around in crawfish pots, sledding behind golf carts, or sliding down driveway "hills" in kayaks.  That's the true spirit of SW LA and with all they've endured this past year (they've had two hurricanes and now also two winter storms) I have to say that I am mighty proud of them!  They make do with what they've got and do their darndest to make the best out of a dire situation and keep their smiles in the process.  I am so impressed and love 'em to pieces.

My Stamp Simply project for this week uses one of our newer floral sets and the matching die to go with it!  If you have ever fussy cut this image, you know that having these dies is a BIG deal!  It makes everything so much easier!

These Craft Consortium papers are so beautiful!  I've been seeing the camellias blooming in my neighbor's yard, so I was drawn to these pretty pink roses!  Such a lovely soft watercolor look!

I couldn't resist, here at the beginning of this season of Lent, pairing this well known verse with the "Always & forever" tag from our Wedding and Anniversaries set.  ❤️  It seems so fitting!

Pandemic Plans

This designer paper print from mades me think of handmade quilts, so my Stamp Simply project for today just had to be a Grandma card!  We've just released a couple of new sets to go with our original Stick People sets, and I had a blast playing with all the little bits and pieces!

The new sets include new characters and lots of small stamps that add personality to them.  I used the little paper bag for their masks, trimming off the handles and scoring/folding/sculpting them to fit their faces.

The new stamp I used for this "grandma" is actually intended to be used to stamp a mom with a baby belly, but I thought it would work just as well for an older woman who is a little squishy around the middle!  I drew in a granny-bun-on-top hairstyle and colored it with grey Copics and clear Wink of Stella for some silver sparkle.  The sentiments here are from our original Stick People sets.

The boy is from the original Stick People release, but the sentiment paired with him includes one from the new and one from the old, combined.

Here again I spliced sentiments together and added a cute little iPhone...the "Soon" is from one of the other sentiments in the new set.  The phone number was the phone number of the house I grew up in, where my parents lived for 60+ years. (Disconnected after they passed away, and I sure hope it hasn't been reassigned!)

Easter Blessings

Today's Stamp Simply project is a simple, classic Easter card featuring our lovely Cross dies and several of our stamp sets in combination.

The beautiful hyacinths in Graphic 45's Fairie Wings designer paper inspired the floral focal point atop the center of the Cross, which was die cut from pearlescent metallic copper paper.  The flowers were fussy cut from the center of one of the floral clusters in our Spring and Summer Seasonal Wreath set.  I chose to cut right up to the ink line and to cut away some of the smaller sprigs and leaves.

I love the beautiful flourishes of the font used for this sentiment, stamped in Celestial Copper to coordinate with the Cross.

More of the floral paper is inside, along with another classic Easter sentiment stamped in the same shimmery copper ink.
