Sweet 'n Sassy DT Round-up

It's the 15th, and that means Sweet 'n Sassy's Design Team Round-up. I found this adorable caterpillar paper at The Woven Heart when we were in Louisiana and that was the inspiration for this particular card. Immediately when I saw it, it made me think of some of our recently released digi-stamps, so I decided to try my hand at them.

I've only *stamped* a few digi images, and I have found that they're a lot of fun! Best thing of all is that you can resize them to be as large or small as you like, and you can arrange images in different combinations. Endless options!

For this card I printed two of the Mushroom With a View images, colored them with prismas and gamsol, and then cut out the duplicate mushroom caps and popped them up on dimensionals. I used several different greens, oranges, and reds to get a rich glow. Love this bright color combo!

For the inside, I printed the sentiment and caterpillar from Inching Along in opposite corners on a 5-inch square of white cardstock. The graphics program I use, PhotoImpact, makes that easy to set up and print. Then I colored with prismas and gamsol, adding a faint shadow with a cool gray copic marker and blender pen.

This particular image just makes me smile, because it reminds me of when Matthew was itty bitty...he loved Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar. That was SO long ago, and he has grown up so much...but he still LOVES to read! Teaching him to read was one of the greatest joys of my life!
