Banana Split Sunday!

April showers bring May flowers...as much as it has been raining in Florida this week, we should have lots of beautiful blooms in the coming months! Today's Banana Split Sunday Challenge from 2RedBananas is *May Flowers*...to use flowers on your project.

The pose this fun Tickled Pink Flamingo is in reminds me of my cheerleading days...anybody remember doing Herkey's (who knows if I spelled that correctly!)? That was my favorite jump to do! It also reminds me of my brothers imitating one of the Beatles... growing up, we were BIG Beatles' fans! I guess I'm really dating myself now!

I stamped the flamingo using Memento Rich Cocoa ink, then colored from background to foreground using prismas and gamsol. I cut and embossed the circle with a nestabilities die, and the sentiment with a nestabilities label. The square card base features two Imaginisce prints and a few blossoms as accents with a little bit of pink ribbon and bling just for fun.

I will be tickled pink if the sun starts shining anytime soon! It would be nice to have a dry Memorial Day! BIG thanks to all of our past and present military men and women and their families! We appreciate you and all the freedoms you secure for us! We know what a sacrifice it is to serve! Our family is a military family...dh retired from USN in December 2007 after 26+ years.
