Masculine Textures & Tim Holtz Numbers

Sometimes it is really fun to look through your deep stash and see whether you can find ways to extend the use of the images and sentiments in your stamp inventory.  Both of my cards for today started with Metal Textures, and numbers from various Tim Holtz die sets.

My older brother is into rehabbing old cars.  He bought an old car that looked all oxidized, rusted and green like this, but with a lot of elbow grease it turned out to be a gorgeous silver.  (I wish I had a photo to share with you!)

My husband is excited that college football season is nearly here!  In our household he represents Michigan and the Big 10, but I am cheering on my alma mater The University of Texas (hence the orange!) and my dad's alma mater, Ole Miss!  Patrick's dad was a big University of Tennessee fan, so I suppose this card could kinda do double duty.

I can't even remember how long I have had these snap brads!  I used almost the whole pack on this one card!  I think I have used this same metal textures paper once before to make a basketball card.  I have no idea what metal texture it is supposed to represent, but to me it looks like pigskin!  I used thin strips of paper for the laces.  A little bit of a pain to make but I like the way it turned out, even if it might be a little bit corny!  The gesture will be appreciated!

Here's the inside.  I thought this sentiment paired well with the idea of a player running for the goal line.  It always makes me smile when they take the time to give credit where credit is due after they score!  If they are wise, they know where their talent comes from!
