Today's Stamp Simply project is a nearly monochromatic card that would work for either a masculine or feminine birthday. Splashes of distress oxide ink help to brighten the background and add a little interest to this muted color scheme. It's kinda nice to have a stash of sorta generic cards on hand, especially when they're clean and simple (aka fast and easy to make) and relatively flat for mailing.
The sentiment was stamped on a slightly texturized sheet of "Safari" designer paper. I had originally stamped the focal image on white card stock. Sponging the edges with tea dye and frayed burlap distress inks (not oxides) helped it to blend better with the rest of the design.
These stamp sets are so fun to work with because there are practically infinite combinations of sentiments for all kinds of occasions, even for cards with sentiments that are "inside and out."
