Lizzie Anne Spring Mix Preview!

It's preview day for Lizzie Anne Designs, and (as I say every month!) you are gonna love this mix, Follow Your Dreams!  So many wonderful images!

I have two cards to share today...one is a simple but elegant "cameo," the other a totally clean and simple nature card.

I have always loved blush and black together, a great combo for this image! This lovely cameo was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white card stock, cut with a nestabilities label die, then inked around the edges with Tim Holtz tattered rose ink.  I layered this atop a black oval and set some black rhinestones to frame the image.  For the card base, I cut a layer of blush, inked the edges, dry-embossed it and inked again.

I snipped the end of some sheer black ribbon and pulled a thread to gather it, taped the ends behind the layer, then added a multi-loop bow that was tied with the bow easy.  A small square rhinestone brightens the center.

For my second card, I cut a long nestabilities rectangle from dark brown card stock, then ran it through twice again to shorten it and cut a circular notch from one end with a circle die.  The focal image was cut/embossed with a slightly smaller square using Memento Rich Cocoa, then colored with Copic markers.  I threaded some jute thread through the button after wrapping it around the card front (through a slit in the fold) several times, tied a small bow and used a glue dot to align it within the notch.

This ultra simple design will be the perfect card to send to my friend who is starting a new season of life, down-sizing and simplifying and letting go of the unnecessaries!
