Several months ago we were blessed to be able to hire Jeremy Blanton as our youth pastor. He is still practically a youth himself at only 22 years of age, but he has been such a great inspiration to our youth group, which is growing and becoming closer to God and each other since his arrival. (I am so happy to see my son develop a stronger relationship with God that isn't just on mom's apron strings, so to speak!) Jeremy is also very talented musically...like Cory, he plays guitar and piano and sings too. I wish I had that kind of versatility!
I wanted to do something simple to express my thanks to them, so I pulled out Like it a Latte to make these cute little gift card holders. I mentioned them to my friend, Jodi, who called while I was stamping to finalize our lunch plans today, and she thought they were a great idea, so I made one for her to give to her pastor too.
Notes:
Stamps: Like it a Latte
Paper: Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky, unknown DP scraps
Inks: Close to Cocoa, Tim Holtz distress ink
Accessories: Coluzzle, ribbon, brads, straight edge scallop punch, round tab punch, photo corner punch
I used the round tab and photo corner punches to make the slot in the pocket for the gift card. After we eat lunch at Moe's we'll go next door to Starbuck's for some gift cards to put inside these. This sample American Express card is just there to make sure the real cards will fit!
I hope to be able to stamp today's Technique Challenge later! I will have to make another Michael's run to grab some twinkling H2O's to try it!
Thanks for stopping by!
