Today is our 24th wedding anniversary! Definitely something to celebrate!
Way back in 1984 we told our families that we were going to be married, and we went--just the two of us--to St. John, USVI, to say our vows and spend our honeymoon. It was the most romantic time of our lives. In lieu of wedding invitations, we sent announcements when we returned. Here's what they looked like...
After 10 days honeymooning, Patrick was deployed for four months and I returned to my home in Louisiana. Upon his return, we were stationed in Barber's Point, Hawaii. So the honeymoon continued!
Since today IS our anniversary, and my husband LOVES chocolate, I was grateful that today's TLC challenge fit right into the plans for something special for him! I made him this little box and filled it with chocolate eclairs! He's gonna be thrilled!
I'm still working on cards for World Card-Making Day. I don't know how many more I'll get to do before tonight's deadline, because I am definitely hoping that we will be going out to dinner to celebrate! At any rate, I did get this WCMD TLC card done. I really love how my layered flower turned out. This cute stamp is from my trip to Michael's to get Matthew some supplies to make his campaign buttons! (he was nominated to run for class president in his homeschoolers' government class!) Gotta love how that kind of shopping trip works! *grin*
