OCL Sneak Peeks!

Thanksgiving is just around the bend, and Christmas will be here before you know it, but today it's time for sneak peeks from Our Craft Lounge's upcoming Valentine release!  We will be releasing four new sets...today you'll see some great card samples, and soon the sets will be available for purchase.  In the meantime, while we all wait for the new sets to arrive,  there are some fabulous OCL  "oldies but goodies" to choose from at i {heart} papers!

You'll want to hop through participating designers' blogs and comment as you go, because you just might win some blog candy!  I can't tell you yet which set you could win!  You'll have to come back tomorrow to find that out!  Here are a few guidelines about prizes and how to enter:
  • your comment today will automatically enter you into the giveaway for the blog hop prize but you should come back tomorrow for another chance!
  • you MUST leave contact information in order to be entered - so make sure you're signed in to blogger and/or leave your email information
  • you can enter on each blog once each day
  • you will only be eligible to win one set
Blog candy will be drawn Sunday morning (November 21st) by each designer.  Winners will be notified by the designer and a full list of winners will be posted on the OCL Blog.

The inspiration for today's card began with some "retro" designer paper and a piece of card stock too small for a standard A2 sized card.  I decided that I would just make it work, and let some of the Happy Day designer paper peek through from the inside. The lava lamp was colored with Copic markers and given a little added Spica sparkle, then cut out and popped up on dimensional dots.  The small design of the printed paper and the contrast of the colors really help the lamp to stand out against the background.

I used several different prints to decorate the narrower card front, framing the punny sentiment with a nestabilities heart and contrasting scalloped heart mat.  The orange button ties the blobby lava lamp idea from image to sentiment, and the glimmer ribbon adds even more sparkle.  I just LOVE these happy colors!

We actually have TWO lava lamps in our house!  Our son, who is 16, bought an authentic one at a consignment shop!  The other is a reproduction.  I think he would get a kick out of this card for Valentine's Day!

Visit the OCL blog for a list of the designers participating in today's peeks.  Be sure to comment for your chance to win tomorrow's blog candy, and come back tomorrow for another chance to win and to see which set I'm offering up for grabs!
