The November set of the month for the {stamps} of Life has just been released, so club members should have happy mail in their boxes soon! I wanted to share my favorite of the cards I made for this month's release...it is a little "out of the box" but I could not help but go in this direction, and had sooooo much fun with it!
Do you see the border of double rosebuds? All I could envision when I looked at those was a plate of sweet cinnamon rolls! LOL! I'm not sure what that says about me, but I do really love how this card came out! I wanted it to be reminiscent of a brightly decorated holiday table with a plate of warm swirly goodness at its center! The buns were stamped in Memento ink, colored with Copic markers, "frosted" with liquid applique and then cut out. For the plate, I used a frame from monogram2build, adding a bit of darker Copic marker shading to give the illusion of an inside rim.
I hope you don't think this was too far "out there!" It's fun to get more mileage from your stamps, don't you think?! Even better when you can use little trinkets from your stash that go along with the theme! :)
Hope to see you again soon!
