Lizzie Anne Design Team Challenge!
This month Tricia challenged us to make a wreath using our Lizzie Anne stamps. I must tell ya, at first, I thought this was a real doozie of a challenge! I kept looking at the inspiration image and drawing a big ole blank.
I had already colored and cut a couple of pairs of these cute little mittens from our newest mix in preparation to make a Christmas card. When I sat down to get to work on a challenge project and saw them on my work bench, this idea dawned on me.
I colored and cut two more pairs so that they would fit evenly around the snowflake-wintertime sentiment, also from Warmest Wishes, making a wreath of several layers of nestabilities circles of different colors. The openings in the eyelet circle were just large enough to push some glitter dome "snowballs" through them to the bottom layer so that they were perfectly placed and peeking through from underneath. A teeny tiny red rhinestone adorns the center of the sentiment, and the top sports a big bow of recycled sheer white ribbon!
In the close-up photograph you can see the subtle Copic highlights and shadows that were added to the mittens, the sentiment, and the outer edge of the green circle. Little details like this really *make* a card! Especially when the layout is a very CAS design like this one.
Can't wait to see what the rest of our team did with this challenge! I am sure they came up with some great ideas that will leave us all wondering why we didn't think of 'em without seeing theirs first! Ha! Find teasers to their projects and links to their blogs on the Lizzie Anne Designs blog! Have fun exploring and being inspired!
