Kid Stuff!

When it made its debut in the card-making world, Flower Soft meant the soft fluffy stuff that you glued on cards to add texture and color to floral images and more...but did you know that now it means so much more?  Flower Soft has rubber stamps, creative kits, beautiful card toppers, peel off stickers, AND the soft fluffy stuff in two textures:  original and ultrafine.  I deliberately left the fluff off of this card so that you could see the beautiful lines and soft shading of this gorgeous artwork.  This is one of the new Charlie's Ark card toppers, Christmas Morning...it's just perfect for this week's challenge, Kid Stuff (FSC10).  Isn't she a darling?!

The nice thing about working with toppers is that you can choose to leave them as they are, or if you have more time, you can add as much color and texture as you prefer.  Here I used some pale Copic colors to add just a hint of color  (see the "before" version, right).  For the greeting, I stamped a JustRite sentiment on ivory card stock, outlined it with a brown marker (wish it had a finer tip!), and then shaded it with the same pale colors that I used for the image.  There's a peek of dotted Swiss paper under the image, along with a delicate eyelet border embellished with pearls.  I added a sheer polka dot bow, some tulle, and small paper roses because I wanted it to be dainty and girlie and sweet!  Sugar and spice and everything nice, right?!

Check out the video (the sepia toppers video is near the bottom of the page) on Flower Soft TV to see some other ways to add color, texture and dimension to the Flower Soft toppers.  You'll enjoy listening to the lovely accents of Noreen and Sheena as you watch!  They have so much fun together they almost always make me giggle!

  2. Love the cards! Do they offer the images as digital downloads or are they only page toppers and do they sell to the US? I love everything about them.
