New Lizzie Anne Singles!

We've got two brand new, fabulous Lizzie Anne singles for you this month!  You're gonna love 'em!

The first is one any mom can relate to, Mother Defined!  Moms definitely wear lots of hats, but this card focuses on the "taxi driver" part, with Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride designer paper, buttons layered to resemble a wheel/tire, and a dangling key (to who knows what!?) on a twine keyring.  I used a nestabilities rectangle to cut and emboss the sentiment, sponging it with distress ink before removing it from the die.

I have been playing taxi driver a whole lot lately, but I admit that I like it much better than maid!  I also must say, I am not looking forward to the day he starts to drive!  In some ways, I guess it is a good thing, but oh my, that must be the definition of worry!  I think I can wait a little while longer!  ;)

This second single, So Very Sorry, provides a lovely, graceful way to speak from your heart and seek forgiveness and reconciliation.  Here, I let the sentiment speak for itself,  stamped on an elegant Spellbinder's labels 10 and set on some gorgeous SEI paper with a bit of two-toned satin ribbon and a few pearls.  I love the beautiful fonts that give voice to these eloquent words...it would be best to not have many occasions to use a sentiment like this, but we all have our moments!

I "skype-stamped" these cards with my dear friend, Dawn.  It is so fun to chat and stamp and ask one another advice and opinions!  We (about 5 of us) had a little skype-stamping session the other night and I laughed until I cried!  I am pretty sure I kept my son awake with all my giggling.  We had the BEST time!  If you haven't tried it, you should!

The Lizzie Anne team has made more great projects to inspire you, so be sure to visit the LAD blog for links, or check out the links to their blogs on my sidebar.

  6. Hey Deb! Great cards. Love the "meaning" of the first card. Very clever. Your apology card is a beauty. I love cards that only use the sentiment as the stamped image. Really draws the focus to the meaning of the card. Very nicely done. Best, Curt
