Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day to my American friends! I am so proud to be an American, and I am proud of my husband, father, and brother for the time they served!  Patrick was an aviation maintenance officer, Dad a hospital corpman in WWII, and Tom an F-14 pilot, all three in the U.S. Navy.

Patrick was just out of Aviation Officer Candidate School when we met in 1982...in the time since we have known each other he served in nearly every major conflict, from Grenada way back then to more recently Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan.  He retired in December 2007.

My card for today was an easy peasy design made super simple by the multiple designs on this single sheet of Creative Imaginations paper.  I stamped a sentiment from The {stamps} of Life set, stars4You, directly onto the patterned paper, tied on a gold bow, and added a button-studded star.

I hope you're doing something special today with the people you love!  I am missing my extended family today...it's Tom's birthday!  Happy birthday, bro!  God bless America!
