Kraftin' Kimmie's April Release!

One of the great perks of being a CPS design team member has been the opportunity to play with Kraftin' Kimmie stamps, especially when it's release time!  I have long loved Kimmie's stamps and this release is no exception!  Not only are there new Steven Leary Dress Up Kids, but there are more Krafty Quotes, and some beautiful fairies from Annie Rodrigue.  I'll be sharing a fairy card later this week.

You will get to see most of the new images while you sit back and enjoy our Krafty Hop! You’ll see all the Krafty Girls, as well as some very special Krafty Guests along the way!!  :)   If you want to start from the beginning, just head over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie Challenge Blog! As you hop from blog to blog, be sure to leave a comment at each and every stop because some lucky stampers will win packages of stamps from the new release!! And when you’re done hoppin’, be sure to head over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie shop, because ALL the new images are NOW available!

Steven Leary's little Dress Up Kids Astronaut Andy is so adorable!  I had some Basic Grey designer paper that I thought looked "spacy," but I'm afraid my card doesn't do this cute little guy justice!  The idea was to have the layout of my card mimic the spaceship he's holding in his hand, but it didn't really translate so well to paper!

I used Memento ink and Copic markers to stamp and color the image, choosing a traditional olive green for his flight suit.  His space helmet is coated with Glossy Accents, which remained bubbled and cloudy at the time of this photo shoot (we had to rush off to Easter choir and Regency Ball practice, Pride and Prejudice style!).  Nestabilities classic circle dies were used to cut and emboss the focal image and card stock mats.  The overall design is simple, open and uncluttered, which is what most little boys seem to like best.

From here, you're headed to Donna's!  Have fun hoppin', and enjoy your new stamps when they arrive!  :)
