This week's Color Dare colors--Pink Pirouette, Elegant Eggplant, Kiwi Kiss, Regal Rose--immediately brought this beautiful Basic Grey Eva designer paper to mind, and this bouquet from the OCL set, Flowers for You, is the perfect image to go with it!I made this card during my stay in Louisiana...my new friend Joyce invited me to her home, prepared a delicious lunch, and kept me company as I stamped and shuffled paper the way I usually do! She was such a sweetheart, and it was so much fun! She even let me break in her new Big Shot with my nesties! Thank you Joyce! Thinking of you!
I started with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I colored in the soft gold background, adding colors with prisma color pencils in layers from back to front, blending with gamsol.
I started my layout with a Mojo sketch, although I ended up straying from an exact interpretation. I matted the image with several layers of cardstock, using scalloped and smooth edged oval nesties. All of the edges were *aged* with Tim Holtz distress ink. This beautiful reversible champagne/moss satin ribbon was the perfect finish...I LOVE this ribbon and plan to order more! Kate just added a lot more gorgeous ribbon to the i {heart} papers store, so there is plenty to choose from!
